“Health is a state of body. Wellness is a state of being.” – J. Stanford

It is often said ‘Health is Wealth’ and there is no denying this age old mantra. Health and wellness are two vital components of life. They go hand in hand. Without good health, one cannot achieve holistic wellness and without the wellness of mind, body and soul, one cannot lead the healthy life.

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” – Buddha

Healthy living is not only confined to physical health, proper nutrition and exercise. It goes beyond the physical confines and aims at the wellness of mind and soul as well. It is about energizing, balancing and harmonizing the life force within to an extent that we can blossom and cherish the wonderful gift given to us called ‘Life’.

“No matter how much it gets abused, the body can restore balance. The first rule is to stop interfering with nature.” – Deepak Chopra

In today’s fast paced and dynamic environment, leading a healthy lifestyle has become a necessity. Sustaining and keeping afloat in such an environment is a task in itself and without health and wellness goals in one’s life, it cannot be accomplished. Good Health is a treasure which should not be taken for granted.

Wellness encompasses a healthy body, a sound mind, and a tranquil spirit. Enjoy the journey as you strive for wellness.” – Laurette Gagnon Beaulieu

People have become exceedingly aware of the benefits of health and have made wellness a priority in their life. They are proactive and open to newer forms of exercise, better diets, improved and new techniques and methods of physical, psychological and spiritual fitness, all aiming at one goal – healthy living and complete wellness. Since prevention is always better than cure, it is important to adopt the healthy lifestyle from the initial years of our life and make wellness a way of living, a life-mantra.

Energy Healing

Energy healing methods today have become quite prevalent especially in dealing with psychological ailments. Medical science often finds it difficult to cure these patients completely as medicine only works on the physical body. In such cases energy healing techniques such as ‘Pranic Healing’ and ‘Pranic Psychotherapy’ have proven successful.

With hectic life styles, stressful work environments and societal pressures, anxiety and depression have become very common. There is an increase in number of psychosomatic cases. Psychosomatic diseases caused due to emotional and psychological reasons require treatments that can address the emotional factors and complement medical treatments. Many people are turning into complementary therapies and energy healing modalities to help them ease their pain and get healthier and happier.

Energy healing basically refers to various healing techniques that use energy, also known as Prana, Chi, Ki or Life-Force to improve the condition of the patients. Pranic Healing, Reiki, Acupuncture and Chi Kung are few examples.

Healing through energy is an ancient science that deals with the energy that flows in the body to improve physical and psychological ailments.

The belief is that physical body is composed of two parts; the visible physical body and the invisible subtle body, also known as the energy body, also known as ‘Aura’. This Aura acts as a frame for the physical body and is the reason why the physical body is alive and healthy. It means that if the energy body is removed, the physical body becomes just a physical mass, without any life. The shape of the physical body is also determined by that of the energy body. This is why despite continuous years of metabolism, the shape of the physical body remains the same throughout each lifetime.

Although all these healing sciences like Pranic Healing, Chi Kung and Reiki, believe in the existence of the aura and the chakras, their techniques in keeping the energy body clean and maintaining the balance vary. While some of the modalities focus on the major chakras such as Pranic Healing, some other work on the minor and mini chakras such as Acupuncture. While modalities such as Reiki and Faith Healing make use of divine or universal energies, Pranic Healing mainly uses life force or chi to improve health, and while some of the modalities are touched or use medicine or herbs such as Acupressure and Traditional Herbal Treatment, some other are no-touch therapies.

Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing is a no-touch, no-drug energy healing technique which uses Prana or Life Force, leading to good health and happiness. Pranic Healing is a science that uses Laws of Nature which people do not know or are not aware of.

Pranic Healing utilizes prana to initiate specific biochemical changes to accelerate the body’s innate ability to prevent, alleviate, and heal a whole spectrum of physical, emotional, and mental ailments as well as balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes

It is an ancient science and a well-established system which enables a person to balance, harmonize and transform the body’s energy processes using the life force or ‘Prana’. It is based on the principle that our body is a self- healing living entity and this healing can be accelerated by increasing life force that is abundantly available all around us. This life force or ‘Prana’ synchronizes the vital energy flow in our bodies and repair the imbalances, resulting in complete wellness of body, mind and soul.

Pranic Healing as a complementary therapy was developed by Master Choa Kok Sui, a Chemical engineer by profession. He studied, researched, experimented and examined the various ancient healing techniques to develop the principles, techniques and applications of ‘Modern Pranic Healing’ and gave the world a powerful, yet simple tool of holistic wellness.

Currently, Pranic Healing as a complementary therapy is helping many people from all walks of life worldwide to improve their life, physically and psychologically. Practitioners from various professions in over 120 countries including doctors, nurses, teachers, massage therapists, businessmen and students are practicing Pranic Healing. Departments of Pranic Healing in hospitals including Apollo Hospitals in India are helping patients to improve their condition by complementing their medical treatments. Healing Modalities including Pranic Healing, Homeopathy and Chiropractic are already opening ways into hospitals in countries such as India, US and Australia to help people in need.

Apart from being a healing modality, Pranic Healing also provides means of attaining a holistic wellness by introducing the world of energies and how they affect our health and well-being. It not only helps to improve a wide range of physical and psychological ailments but also has proven effective in other areas of life including relationships, education, finance and child care.
